Her women wait. And yet, they are also transient figures, always striving to be something other than they are. Their dwellings are hotels. Their professions, acting and modeling. They wear make up.  They wait on the way to elsewhere, on the way out of their current lives. Is there a way out?  Turbeville is not the one to answer such unimaginative questions.
