Spread throughout the globe (in New York, New Orleans, Providence, and Finland), the four Egg Collective members rely on frequent flyer miles and teleconferences to ensure their collaborations. But tree stumps aren’t the only material the girls work with. Other designs include innovative shelving designed from bent aluminum sheets or made from fabric to accentuate the distention created from books and magazines. A desk, credenza, coffee table, and mirror round out the girls’ product offerings, all of them featuring clean, sleek, functional attributes; all are created on an order-by-order basis. As is, there are only two Stumped lamps available. Not to worry though. As Beamer asserts, “because of all the interest, we are going to be making another edition, this time with greater quantity.” Seems like wood shop classes do pay off in the end.
