At first, the delicate designs were simply that, as no manufacturer jumped at the chance to make porcelain couture pieces. But 180-year-old porcelain giant Reichenbach, located in Germany’s own “Porcelain Village” in Thuringia, was up for the challenge. As such, museums like the Keramicmuseum Westerwald in Lindenstrasse, Germany have taken notice of the porcelain beauties and are currently exhibiting the line through the beginning of 2010, along with Les Anciens Abattoirs in Belgium, where the line was exhibited as part of its nomination for a European Prize for Applied Arts.

With a new collection of gold-plated accessories recently exhibited in France, it’s clear these show-stopping couture pieces are just as elegant on display as they are when worn.
