     The menswear collection was introduced in June 2009 and is in stores now. I caught up with the designer, Asa Nishijima, in the “…a moment in…” showroom in Paris to ask about the line. “There was no one single clear idea that drove me to create this collection,” Nishijima said. “Ultimately, I want the wearer to derive and carry his own meaning from the garment. I don’t want the clothes to overpower the man. My thought process began in Tokyo and ended up in an Italian countryside, where I spent a lot of time supervising the manufacturing of the garments.”
