AW: Any music you’re loving lately?
EM: I’m the kind of person that just listens to any kind of music. I’ve got so many different kinds of music. So I’m not particular. Lately, I’ve liked songs from one of the American DJs, Uproot Andy. I love his music. He’s a DJ and producer. He’s very good. He does a kind of African-Cumbia kind of music, South American. It’s very good. I listen to his music a lot.
AW: So how about the remixes? How do you like them? Is it strange to hear your own songs twisted around and rearranged?
EM: For me I don’t see any problem with them. It’s cool. I accept remixes a lot, and I like them. [laughs] I don’t see any problem with it. We are recycling anyway, you know. It’s almost like the same that I do with Radioclit. We take people’s samples as well. And I kind of like some of the remixes more than my original songs. Sometimes! [laughs]
