Songs, like “Tropical Disease”, with its velvety saxophone, and “Missing the Light of the Day”, which proclaims “Making love’s alright”, seem to encourage and emphasize the power of romance. At the end of “Tropical Disease,” the vocals call out: “Woman, make me feel warm inside.” Here, Dunckel seems to be channeling Serge Gainsbourg.
