You’ve been variously described as a photographer, a graphic designer, and an illustrator. How would you classify yourself? I think illustrator describes my work best. I speak with images rather than letters. To be defined as a photographer, one should have technical expertise.

The humor in your work veers between whimsical (using innocent household items) and something more sardonic (subverting the viewer’s expectations). How would you characterize it?
The humor in my work comes from the way I give objects personality and life. When animated chairs start to make out in various positions or dance a waltz, then that can make viewers smile. I think it’s better to make people smile rather than laugh.
